Cogs Lab Studio is a small indie game studio located in Switzerland working on the upcoming traffic simulation puzzle game 'Stop, Ampeltime!'.
HistoryThe History of Stop, Ampeltime!
Cogs Lab Studio was founded around the game 'Stop, Ampeltime!' and its creator Philipp Kuhn. Stop, Ampeltime! has been in on/off development since early 2011, when the initial idea for the game was born at the Zurich University of the Arts, Switzerland. The initial game prototype was created in Adobe Flash/Actionscript and the prototype development was finished by the end of 2013.From Prototype to Release
In late 2016, the decision to bring Stop, Ampeltime! to a full release was made and the development of the prototype was continued. Because Adobe Flash severely limited the performance of the game, a switch to a more capable game engine was imminent. The game was then completely rewritten in Unreal Engine 4 and now features state of the art graphics and enough performance for the game to really shine. In the beginning of 2018, the prototype phase came to an end and Cogs Lab Studio was founded in order to bring the game to a proper release. The currently planned release date is September 2019.
